Why go Greek? Greek organizations at The University of South Dakota
create smaller communities within the larger University environment
for the purposes of assisting growth in the areas of scholarship,
personal and leadership development, campus involvement and
community service. Joining a sorority is the choice of a lifetime.
Membership in a sorority opens the door to new and exciting things
during your college years and beyond.
When you go Alpha Phi you become a member of an international
sisterhood whom all share common goals, interests, and hobbies. The
best part of joining a sorority is the friendships you will find and
the loads of fun you get from those relationships. When you go away
to college, you begin to search for your place in the world. When
you go Alpha Phi you will be part of something precious that words
cannot explain, but know you will find the best of friends. You
will spend hours in the library studying, but you will also find
time to meet new people and explore the social scene. Alpha Phi
includes many socials from Homecoming events to Greek Week events,
formal dances, Parent's weekend, and sisterhood sleepovers.
Formal recruitment is a five day process where you get the
opportunity to learn more about the Greek system, sorority life, and
individual sororities and their members. Alpha Phi gives you an
opportunity to be yourself and meet the people that will change your
life forever.
