Pledges

Membership is open to all persons majoring in Accounting and/or Finance who are interested in the aim and purpose of the organization and who meet the following requirements:
    • Attended the School of Business at the University of South Dakota for at least one semester.
    • Be enrolled in an accounting or finance class at USD.
    • Paid the one time $55.00 National petition fee.
    • Paid a semester fee of $25.00 for local chapter dues.

To Be Initiated, Undergraduates must have:

    • Paid a semester fee of $25.00 for local chapter dues.
    • Maintain a current resume on the BAP web site.
    • Must be an active pledge for at least a semester.  You can be initiated after one semester as
        an active pledge if you meet the GPA requirements.
    • A cumulative 3.0 GPA in ALL courses.
    • Accounting Majors:
        • A 3.0 GPA in accounting courses at the 300 level or above.
    • Finance Majors:
        • Complete ACCT 310 with a C or above.
        • A 3.0 GPA in finance courses beyond BADM 310.

To Be Initiated, Graduate Students must have:

    • Paid a semester fee of $25.00 for local chapter dues.
    • Maintain a current resume on the BAP web site.
    • Must be an active pledge for at least a semester.  You can be initiated after one semester as
        an active pledge if you meet the GPA requirements.
    • Accounting Majors:
        • GPA requirements are met by full admission to the MPA program.
    • Finance Majors:
        • Complete ACCT 310 with a C or above.
        • GPA requirements are set by full admission to the MBA program.
