"Some of the most dramatic changes appear to be compensatory effects following the abandonment of previous policies..."

(DaVanzo and Adamson, 1997)

Caught up in a whirlwind of social, economic and governmental change, the Russian population has been suffering. This quote reinforces the fact that the Russian people have been dramatically affected by various blows to the Russian infrastructure.

The focus of this project is to examine the nature of these infrastructure setbacks and the effect that these have on the Russian population. Finally, this project will provide some suggestions for improvement for Russia, aimed at stabilizing the economy and educating the public with the hopes that a healthier population will result.
