        From 1981-83, I was constructing and subcontracting a new home, a uniquely designed, passive solar / earth-sheltered house containing 4,400 square feet of space on two levels, and landscaped on a half-acre lakefront lot; this project received the first home loan in North Dakota approved for a passive-solar design by Metropolitan Federal Bank.
