kindergarten,
message board, daily news)
9:00 – 9:30 Shared Literacy ( Shared Reading with poems, songs, charts,
and Big Books)
9:30 – 10:00 Writers' Workshop (Shared Writing, Interactive Writing,
mini-lesson, individual writing time, individual writing
conferences, author's chair)
10:00 – 10:20 Outside Recess
10:20 - 11:30 Choice Time (a variety of centers and interest areas available
for children to choose from)
11:30 – 11:45 Sharing
Clean up
11:45 – 12:45 Lunch
Recess
12:45 - 1:15 Rest and Independent Reading
Story
1:15 – 2:00 Math and/or Science Workshop (mini-lesson, theme-related
activity, math and/or science related centers)
2:00 – 3:10 Specials, Outside Recess, Workshop, and Choice Time
(physical education, music, library, guidance, art, etc.
Social Studies activities, centers and interest areas)
3:10 – 3:30 Review of the Day/Planning for Tomorrow
Story
(children and teacher share and reflect on activities of the day, plan for tomorrow, read favorite stories, sing good-bye songs)
