Library Center with Book Collections to go along with Units

Cooking Center with recipes written out

Dramatic Play Area

Change periodically with "prop boxes" and make sure to add reading & writing materials

            Post Office with posters, writing materials, paper

                                    Mailboxes made from cereal boxes

            Restaurant with menus, signs, ordering pads

            Housekeeping Area with books and writing materials

            Grocery Store with signs, cash register, empty boxes, grocery list pads

            Archeology Area with magnifying glasses, sifters, archeology hat, trowel,

                                                “bones” to discover

Block Area with signs, sign making materials, blueprints, maps

Art Centers

            Easel available daily

            At an art table put out

                                    rubber stamps                           variety of paper

                                    markers and crayons                 stickers

Have books, reading, and writing materials available at all centers throughout the day.
