I obtained my PhD. in Numerical Analysis at the University of Iowa in 1990 under the direction of Kendall E. Atkinson. My current research interest is in mathematical models for ecological problems: dynamics of predator-prey type models and ecological networks algorithms.

Arizona State University. 2009-Present. MTBI is the recipient of the 2011 presidential award for excellence in sciences, mathematics, and engineering mentoring.
- International Collaborator at Rodrigo-Ramos research Lab at Biodiversirty Laboratories of the National Center for the Environment (CENMA).
