If you are a man or woman who has experienced either the miscarriage of a pregnancy, stillbirth, or the death of a child, you are invited to participate in an online survey exploring factors involved in the experience and expression of grief among bereaved parents. The study is being conducted by Paul Kincs, M.A., under the supervision of S. Jean Caraway, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Psychology at The University of South Dakota. The survey will consist of a brief demographic form, and five questionnaires, which should take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete. No personally identifying information will be collected, and responses will be held in the strictest confidence. Participation in the survey is restricted to English-speaking adults 18 years of age or older, and is completely voluntary. For each completed survey, a donation will be made by the researcher to either The Compassionate Friends, or The Bereaved Parents of the U.S.A., non-profit organizations devoted to assisting parents who have experienced the death of a child.
