    Internationally known and respected, the unique National Music Museum and Center for Study of the History of Musical Instruments includes over 10,000 American, European, and non-Western musical instruments.

  • Old Main / Oscar Howe Gallery
    The U's oldest building, recently restored, featuring the largest collection anywhere of works by renowned American Indian artist Oscar Howe, who taught at the U. for many years.

  • W. H. Over Museum
    This museum contains the state's largest collection of natural and cultural history and features a special Lewis and Clark exhibit.

  • Spirit Mound (Paha Wakan)
    A site of spiritual significance to many American Indians, that Lewis and Clark visited.
    Approximately six miles north of Vermillion on Highway 19. Wear your walking shoes and dress appropriately for the weather.

  • Buffalo Run Winery and Bed-and-Breakfast
    Vermillion boasts a winery, complete with wine tastings and tours. There is also a bed-and-breakfast, with private dining, and a scenic view.

  • Austin-Whittemore House Museum
