The Workplace Managed Care Substance Abuse Prevention and Early Intervention Project is designed to investigate which managed care substance abuse prevention and early intervention programs implemented in the workplace are effective in reducing the incidence and prevalence of substance abuse, and to disseminate the findings from these investigations. A wealth of information for teachers, administrators, policymakers, researchers, parents, students, and others with a stake in education.
The Safe and Drug-Free Schools Program is the Federal government's primary vehicle for reducing drug, alcohol and tobacco use, and violence, through education and prevention activities in our nation's schools. Storytelling for Empowerment is a project whose philosophy is
to teach values and a healthy sense of self through storytelling and cultural
empowerment. This project has contributed to the field of substance abuse
prevention by documenting that youth can gain problem solving skills and
use fewer drugs after working with this curriculum.
